Let’s hear it for La Aunor

GMA 7’s discovery Joy Berry admitted that she had gone through a roller-coaster ride of emotions, on her first day with screen mom, Superstar Nora Aunor, on the set of the coming series “Extraordinary Love.”

“At first, I couldn’t believe it was for real because I only used to watch her, but now I am acting with her! She is such a good actress. When I look into her eyes, I feel the emotion required by the scene right away,” Joy recalled.

Like the petite Superstar, Joy, who is a little person, packs a wallop in front of the camera. That commendation was courtesy of La Aunor herself.

“I was nervous at first, but she’s so kind that I instantly felt at ease,” Joy related. The Superstar gave her a tip. “She told me that I should feel each line so I could deliver it properly. That helped me a lot.”

Director Gina Alajar agreed: “Guy (La Aunor’s nickname) is a pleasure to work with. She makes us all feel relaxed around her. Of course, the entire cast and crew are her fans. We are all in awe of her. When she walks into a room, she commands attention.” —BAYANI SAN DIEGO JR.
