Boy Logro makes cooking look easy

Edgar Divinagracia, musician: “I thought musical shows like the sorely missed ‘Ryan, Ryan Musikahan’ were already non-existent on local television. But, shows like Net25’s ‘Session on 25th Street,’ have further strengthened my belief that, when it comes to music, Filipinos are hard to beat.

“Like Mr C’s show, ‘Sessions’ features live singing and accompaniment. A recent episode, hosted by Ernie Magtuto, featured jazz singer, Skarlet, and the band of Henry Katindig. Skarlet was refreshing to watch as she performed a jazzed-up version of her hit, ‘Manila Girl.’”

Luisito Barrera, televiewer: “A fun and entertaining show to watch on GMA 7 isn’t really a comedy but a cooking show! The host of ‘Kusina Master,’ chef Boy Logro, makes cooking look easy with the fun way he delivers his unscripted spiels.”

“This is sad, considering that we have great singers who aren’t as popular as they ought to be. It puzzles me why people go gaga over the likes of non-singers like Anne Curtis.”

Denice Eleazar, student: “The dismal showing of the Maricel Soriano starrer, ‘Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow,’ is unfortunate considering that it was her comeback film after a long while—and after figuring in a not-so-pleasant controversy with her former maids.”
