What would you do if you find out one day that you are a father to a child? Especially when you are a “mumshie”?
Paolo Ballesteros showed in the trailer for “My 2 Mommies,” released Wednesday, that you don’t have to be a mother to be a mommy. In the movie, his character finds out that he had fathered a child with his ex-girlfriend Monique, played by Solenn Heussaff.
So what’s the twist? It turns out that Ballesteros’ character is gay. Their son, Tristan, now has to deal living with two families: that of his father and his partner Ronnie, and of Monique along with her husband.
The trailer is surely full of comic humor. In one scene, Tristan finds his dad’s partner’s underwear in his bed. In defense, Ballesteros goes ballistic and calls manang, the house help, saying, “Tignan niyo oh! Ang brief ng kuya Ronnie ninyo, nandito sa kwarto ko (Look at this! Ronnie’s underwear is in my bedroom)!” while he hold it toward her face.
This movie will surely make you laugh in time for Mother’s Day. Directed by Eric Quizon and to be released under Regal Entertainment, catch the movie once it hits theaters May 9. /ra
