WATCH: Ed Sheeran learns Tagalog words from Team Kramer
Apart from serenading his Filipino fans last Sunday, Grammy Award-winner Ed Sheeran recently took the opportunity to learn some Tagalog words, courtesy of Team Kramer.
While embarking on the Philippine leg of his “Divide Tour” held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Sheeran met the celebrity family backstage. This was when Doug and Kendra had “Tagalog Time” with Sheeran, as seen in a video uploaded on the family’s Facebook page yesterday.
Although excited to meet him, little Kendra said: “I’m so nervous right now, you can’t believe how nervous I am.” She even added that she thought she “was the most nervous in the room.”
But when Sheeran walked in, Kendra once again showed how energetic she was. Kendra held the paper typewritten with Tagalog words and phrases, such as “Ang Galing Ko” (I am good), “Mang-a-awit ako” (I am a singer) and the famous “Mahal ko kayo” (I love you all); Sheeran said it all with finesse.
But when the tricky “Nakakapagpabagabag” (makes one worry too much) was presented, the singer struggled a bit, and even Gavin found it challenging too!
In the end, the family was just delighted to meet the singer, with Doug saying that Sheeran was “the first biggest star we’ve ever met.” JB
