Marriage isn’t for Kylie

Kylie Minogue’s recent split from her fiancé only confirmed her longstanding hunch: Marriage isn’t for her.

“I never thought I would get married,” the Australian pop star said in a recent interview with Red Magazine. “Going through ‘being engaged’ seems like an experiment, because I had never, as a girl, had a vision of getting married.”

She just wasn’t raised that way, she pointed out; she never saw marriage as some sort of “goal.” “I thought, ‘Maybe I have got it all wrong and that I should go for it. Maybe I should do what most of the world do,’” the “I Should Be So Lucky” singer said.

“Now, I’m going to stick to my previous view. I don’t think marriage is for me,” she added. —ALLAN POLICARPIO
