Saab Magalona is finally able to bring home her son Pancho after his recovery at the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

The new mom was cheerful as she held little Pancho Gerardo and snapped a picture with the nurses who helped look after him.

“Graduated from the NICU yesterday! We’re very happy to leave but sad to say goodbye to Pancho’s wonderful, hardworking, and sweet nurses,” she said.

“Thank you for believing in him. [Husband Jim Bacarro] and I will forever be grateful for you all!”

The good news comes after Saab and Jim, both musicians, lost baby girl Luna Isabel last Feb. 8. In a blog post, Saab described the mix of emotions she went through, being “heartbroken but hopeful.”

Baby Luna was buried next to her grandfather Francis M and had a special tombstone designed with phases of the moon, designed by Saab’s brother Frank.

Saab has also expressed gratitude towards fellow moms on Twitter: “Thankful for mommy Facebook groups — learning so much from helpful moms, especially those with preemie experience!”

Preemies or premature infants are born earlier than full term or 37 weeks and may have complicated health problems.

Besides medical professionals and netizens, Saab has also had the support of loved ones, including mom Pia Magalona.

The Magalona matriarch shared a picture cradling her grandson, smiling as she pointed to the newest addition to the family. She wrote, “My newest baby Pancho Bacarro.” JB
