/ 05:15 PM April 03, 2018

Seasoned actress Eula Valdes took a trip down memory lane not with a throwback photo but a more present one with her fellow “Bagets Girls” Yayo Aguila, Jobelle Salvador and Cheska Iñigo.

The photo was taken in 2007 when the cast members put up the Bagets Foundation.

Involved in the project are “Bagets 1” and “Bagets 2” cast members Aga Muhlach, William Martinez, Herbert Bautista, Raymond Lauchengco, Ramon Christopher, and the late Francis Magalona.

They are four of today’s most brilliant actresses but their careers first spawned from the iconic 1984 smash hit “Bagets,” which was directed by the late Maryo J. de los Reyes.

Valdes was paired with singer Raymond Lauchengo, Aguila was paired with ex-husband William Martinez, and Salvador was opposite now Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista.

The film was such a huge success that after its release boys followed the hair and fashion of the film’s lead stars.

The movie also paved the way for the era of youth-oriented movies in Philippine cinema.
