Megastar Sharon Cuneta once again gave in to her obsession on gaining new knowledge by splurging big time on books.
In her Instagram posts on Thursday, she uploaded a photo of her holding a long receipt of book purchases that stretched from her face down to her legs.
For her, it’s a “Damage. Happy damage! Basta bagong libro!!! And they deliver so no heavy buhat pabalik sa hotel!”
In one video post, she explained why the huge library was her own Disneyland.
“Books, stationery, everything, Oh Lord look at that,” she said. At the end of the video, she assured her followers that there’s no need to worry about her and that everything will be alright.
In another video where she yet again showed the enormity of book collections the library has, she expressed a hypothetical intent that she could live there.
The next video showed the stacks of books she purchased. It composed mostly of books and atlases about houses and design. In the background, she can be heard saying she isn’t even done yet as there are those she plans to order because they’re too heavy.
She also shared her desire to have a space for her entire collection of books, bags, clothes and other possessions.
“I want my living space to be like a nest, very contained, self-contained, tiny but for all my books, and my clothes and my shoes, my bags and all, I need to build this space (pointing at the entire library),” she said.
Apart from being a celebrated actress/singer/TV host, Cuneta is also known for her passion in reading. In past interviews, she revealed possessing close to about 500,000 books and her collection is among her biggest splurges.
She said that her collection consists mainly of books on architecture, interior designs, hotels, to cookbooks, and some biography – more of home to arts. /jpv
