Lotlot de Leon, Ramon Christopher Gutierrez reunite to attend daughter Maxine’s school ceremony: ‘We are parents first’

Estranged couple Ramon Christopher Gutierrez and Lotlot de Leon got together to celebrate a milestone in their daughter’s life.

The actors both attended their daughter Maxine’s moving up ceremony in Saint Pedro Poveda College in Quezon City on Wednesday. An elated De Leon posted on her Instagram how proud she was of her child’s achievement.

She then posted a photo of her, Maxine and Gutierrez. Despite their past, she said,” It’s never about us..but always about our children.”

“We have gone through way too much pain, arguments and misunderstandings,” De Leon went on. “It wasn’t easy but we both have learned that for the sake of our children our PRIDES should always be set aside.”

De Leon said they never denied their children from each other. And when it came to decisions regarding them, it was always mutual. She added, “We are parents first.”

“That is why sa mga ganitong pagkakataon nagpapasalamat ako sa dios na ginabayan nya kame (That is why in opportunities like this, I thank God for guiding us) and I’m thankful that our children are where they’re supposed to be,” the actress expressed.

Both actors are children of showbiz royalty: Ramon is the son of actor Eddie and singer Pilita Corrales, while Lotlot is the adoptive daughter of Nora Aunor and Christopher de Leon. The two got married in 1989, and had their union annulled in 2008. They share four children together, including actress Janine.  /ra
