GMA 7 actress Rhian Ramos had a blast doing her latest project, the independently produced movie, David Hulbert and Kazuhiko Parungao’s “Simplicity.” The film allowed her to collaborate with newcomers like Mary Joy Apostol, the breakout star of Mikhail Red’s acclaimed film, “Birdshot.”
“I love working with fresh, young talents who are excited and passionate about performing,” Rhian explained. “It’s infectious … how hungry they are to express themselves, while keeping the mood on the set light and fun.”
She admitted, however, that she didn’t need to exert extra effort to increase the excitement level at work. “It’s because I was also with my friend, Solenn Heussaff. Every minute with her is enjoyable— regardless of the agenda that day!”
Rhian acknowledged that the support of the entire team, led by the producers, was invaluable, as well.
“I appreciate that Idol Tap (Productions) was loose and free about how Solenn and I would attack the script. We had fun doing a light, silly movie! That’s how we are as people, really. We hope to find viewers out there who can relate to our kind of kalokohan (craziness)!”—BAYANI SAN DIEGO JR.
