“Frozen” star Kristen Bell shared with the world a health concern: She and her 3-year-old daughter, Delta, contracted pinworms.
During a recent guesting in “The Joel McHale Show,” Bell said that she noticed the preschool that Delta attends had its carpets removed. For a week, she added, her daughter kept scratching her backside.
“You have to monitor it, and you have to look in their poop,” Bell said. “Sure enough, I wiped and saw a little white worm.”
Later that day, she added, she showed symptoms of having them, herself.
McHale asked her if it was painful, and Bell responded, “No, but it was very itchy!”
With Bell’s actor husband Dax Shepard and her older daughter Lincoln, they took “chalky nonsense from the drugstore,” but only she and Delta contracted the worms.
“Good to be here, Joel,” she said, vigorously shaking the stunned McHale’s hand. —OLIVER PULUMBARIT
