Even while in the family way for the second time now, Iya Villania has no plans of quitting her fitness regiman. She is even urging pregnant mommies like her to get out and #MoveYourBump.
The actress-television host impressed her fans when she did tempo squats while lifting a barbell, as seen in am Instagram Story she posted on Monday.
As she displayed her determination to remain physically fit, she also posted some reminders on another series of Instagram Stories.
While she said it is safe to exercise while pregnant, she also cautioned fans that it is not for everyone, particularly if one is experiencing complications. “Get the go signal from your doc! Don’t be afraid to move!” she wrote.
Villania assured her followers that it is okay to continue working out while pregnant, as long as it does “not exceed prior fitness levels.” She also said that getting fit “prior to pregnancy will give you the confidence to keep moving during your pregnancy!”
She added in her next post that being fit while pregnant and making it a lifestyle, even in the face of what others might say, “is good for both you and your baby.”
The health buff added that pregnant women should listen to their bodies and know when to slow down in their exercises.
But how about the weights she’s lifting? Don’t they look too heavy for her, given her condition? She assured, “What I lift now isn’t even 75% percent of what I used to do.”
Villania and her husband Drew Arellano are expecting another baby boy, who follows their first-born, Primo. But as early as now, she joked that they just might aim for a third baby, hoping that it will be a girl. She teasingly addressed Arellano, “Ummm… pwede mag-assess muna after we have [two], love?” (Can we assess first, after we have two, love?)
In the meantime, she serves as the perfect fitspiration for fellow moms. Keep moving, Iya! JB
