BTS main dancer and rapper J-Hope has released his first mixtape entitled “Hope World” and has set new records on iTunes for a Korean solo artist.

The album was self-produced, penned and composed by J-Hope himself, according to their agency, Big Hit Entertainment, last Friday.

J-Hope’s seven-track album was released through their agency’s official social media page and the band’s Soundcloud account for free. Despite the album being for free, J-Hope’s mixtape was still made available on iTunes and Spotify, and still ranked number one on iTunes album charts in over 70 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom and Canada.

Along with the release of the album, a music video for its title track “Daydream” was also released, depicting Jung Hoseok (J-Hope’s real name) in a vibrantly-hued video.

J-Hope is the third member of BTS to drop a mixtape, following the group’s leader and rapper RM in 2015, and rapper and producer Suga in 2016. JB
