Living Stars continues reminiscing about our visits last year with celebrities in their beautiful homes.
Young and old, they welcomed us into dwellings as varied in design themes (or individual touches) as their personalities. Ancestral properties or modern condominium units, the homes had two aspects in common: They were comfort zones as well as veritable treasure chests of memories either distant or freshly created.
More than being awed, as we often are, the aspect we look forward to with each visit is hearing our subject relate the story of his or her life. We will sit with more star homeowners this year, that’s for sure.
Lily Monteverde
There are very few reminders of show biz in the Greenhills residence of Regal Films producer Lily Monteverde. The only visible movie memento is an oil painting
of the young Lily, circa 1985, made by the owner of Sagmit Advertising (right). “He painted Regal’s giant billboards in the 1980s,” she recalled. Few people know that the producer plays the piano. ARNOLD ALMACEN

Chef Rob and Sunshine Pengson
Chef couple Rob and Sunshine Pengson built their kitchen according to their needs and specifications. It boasts the latest gadgets in culinary technology, befitting the degustation concept. “We have stuff for molecular gastronomy,” he explained. They also designed the hanging rack which shows off their extensive collection of pots and pans. RODEL ROTONI
Some of the pieces in the living room were from their old apartment, while others were gifts from relatives. The koi fish painting is by Ramon Diaz (below). RODEL ROTONI
