Actor Ryan Potter, who voiced Hiro Hamada in Disney’s animated “Big Hero 6” in 2014, is among the actors included in the cast of the coming live-action “Titans” series, based on the DC Comics title about teen heroes.
The actor will appear as the shape-changing Beast Boy, aka Changeling, a rowdy, green-skinned teen who can transform into any animal.
Potter, 22, was born to an Asian father and Caucasian mother. Well-versed in martial arts, he starred in the Nickelodeon action-comedy series “Supah Ninjas,” from 2011 to 2013. He expressed interest in playing teen vigilante Robin in 2016, and made a detailed stunt video that exhibited his athletic and combat skills, for a possible role in the solo “Batman” film.
But, late last year, he was cast as the other teen adventurer in “Titans,” which is being codeveloped by “Arrowverse” head honcho Greg Berlanti.
Potter will star alongside Brenton Thwaites (Robin), Teagan Croft (Raven) and Anna Diop (Starfire) in the series slated for release within the year.—OLIVER PULUMBARIT
