LOOK: Kathryn Bernardo is Girl Scouts of the Philippines’ new ambassador

It looks like Kathryn Bernardo will take on a new role, but not for television or the movies.

The Kapamilya actress was formally inducted by the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) as its new ambassador on Thursday. The organization also celebrated the World Thinking Day 2018.

Bernardo and her mother, Min, formally took oaths as they were inducted to be part of the Girl Scouts, as seen in this photo by the Star Magic Instagram page.

In this video, Bernardo took part in her reinvestiture and the Girl Scouts officials gave her a pin to be their new ambassador.

In her speech, the actress admitted that she was proud to be part of the Girl Scouts before and is looking forward to work with them “to promote different types of values to the youth.” She also expressed hope that she could promote reading books and not rely too much on the internet.

Staying true to her advocacy, the “La Luna Sangre” star made sure that she is a role model when she actively took part in a read-along with kids, as seen in this GSP Facebook photo.

She also did not pass the opportunity to pose a photo with Gespie, the GSP’s official mascot.

Congratulations, Kathryn!  /ra
