Zanjoe Marudo’s mother, Rosanna Acuesta, has passed away and was interred on Feb. 21.
The actor shared a photo of her on his Instagram page with the caption, “Aking anghel (my angel).”
Zanjoe also uploaded a photo of himself and that of his mother in her younger days, which showed their facial similarity.

His sister Zee posted a photo of their mother’s coffin surrounded by white flowers and details of the interment in Tanauan, Batangas.
“Thanks for all the Love. My Mom is surely dancing with joy for the outpouring of people remembering her kindness and congeniality,” she wrote.
A certain Karl Gonzales present in the wake shared a video on Facebook of Zanjoe paying tribute to his mother.

The actor was in tears as he said, “Bata pa lang kami, hindi ka nagpapaalam saan ka pupunta. Hanggang ngayon hindi ka naman nagpaalam (When we were still children, you would never inform us where you were going. Even now, you didn’t bid us goodbye).”
“Mahal na mahal ka namin… Sana bantayan mo kami lagi (We love you so much. I hope you will look after us always),” he said.
His mother is from Calauag, Quezon. The cause of her death has not been publicly announced. /ra
