Choosing to stay positive, Neri Naig imparted some words of wisdom to fans about giving other people a second shot, and being kind to others.
The other half of “Parokya ni Edgar” frontman Chito Miranda said there are lots of decent jobs that do not require fooling people, she wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
“Kapag tinutulungan ka ng tao, wag mong abusuhin, at lalong lalo na wag mong lokohin,” Naig reminded her followers.
(If people are helping you, don’t abuse it, and never ever fool them.)
“Sa ngayon, hindi nyo nakikita yan pero kapag lumaki na ang mga anak nyo at may mangyare na hindi nyo inaasahan, mapapadasal na lang kayo sa Panginoon at dun nyo mare-realize kung gaano kasama ang mga pinag gagawa nyo sa taong tumulong sa inyo, sa taong ginago niyo,” the actress remarked.
(Right now, you may not realize it, but when your children have grown up, and when something untoward happens, you’ll be calling on the Lord, and you will then realize the wrong you did to those who helped you, to those you fooled.)
Not stopping there, she encouraged followers that it is not hard to be kind to one’s self and to others; she said she believes even the most foolish person has some kindness too.
“Hindi mo naman kailangang maging relihiyoso, yung palaging palasimba tapos masama naman pala sa kapwa tao,” Naig said.
(You don’t need to be religious, one who always goes to church but turns out to be bad on other people.)
Being the optimist that she is, the actress reminded followers that it is not too late to change for the better if one has done a misdeed in the past. She also encouraged fans to be forgiving.
She ended her post by saying, “Masarap mamuhay at mabuhay ng magaan lang, ng simple lang. Hindi maiiwasang magkaproblema pero lagi nating iisipin na laging may solusyon ang mga problema.”
(It feels good to live lightly and simply. Problems cannot be avoided but let’s always think that there are always solutions to problems.)
Fans lauded Naig for speaking her mind. They told her they related to the things she spoke about.
