Paramore postpones concert in PH due to lead singer’s throat infection
Filipino fans of the American rock band Paramore were disappointed after the group announced they were postponing their Manila tour.
Lead singer Hayley Williams said she has been fighting a throat and upper-respiratory infection for the past two days in a Facebook post just hours ago. This also prompted a postponement of their show in Jakarta, Indonesia, set for tonight.
“It’s a pretty nasty sickness but if I would’ve been able to get my voice to come through for me, the guys and I would’ve done the show tonight anyway,” Williams wrote. “Unfortunately, my throat hasn’t loosened up and the rest of my symptoms have only gotten worse.”
She added that they would push through their concert in the Philippines on Aug. 23 from the original date slated for Sunday.

She then reassured fans that she was seeing a doctor and would rest “as much as possible so we don’t have to postpone anymore shows on this tour.”
