The Golden Sound of The Platters
The Golden Sound of The Platters, the chief tribute act of the American vocal group The Platters, is set to hold a post-Valentine’s Day concert today at the Kia Theatre, according to Media Sync Productions (call 911-5555).
Composed of Eddie Stovall Sr., Mose Edward Stovall Jr., Kim Leo Green, Frederick Berry and Deneen Davis, The Golden Sound will bring to life some of the iconic R&B and doo-wop group’s enduring hits, including “Smoke Gets in Your Eyes,” “Only You” and “The Great Pretender.”
Joining them onstage are guests World Karaoke Philippine champions JV Decena and Lilibeth Garcia, and World Championships of the Performing Arts winner Joaquin. ALLAN POLICARPIO
