Deciding to do a good deed on the day where everyone celebrates love, Yassi Pressman thought of giving and receiving free hugs.
The actress dressed in disguise to blend in with the crowd, and held up a sign which said, “Third Wheel ako sa Valentine’s. Pa-hug naman.” (I’m playing third wheel on Valentine’s. Please hug me.) She did this at the LRT 2-Legarda station, as shown in a video uploaded on her Facebook page yesterday.
Pressman was open to embracing everyone, whether their relationship status was single, in a relationship or that of a third wheel.
At first, people were hesitant to approach the actress. Later on, the hugs started coming.
After she revealed her true identity, some could not hide how starstruck they were and immediately took selfies with her. She headed next to the university belt area in Mendiola to interact with students, snack on street food and show-off her dribbling skills with locals.
“Minsan kasi pakiramdam ko kapag feeling mo alone ka… minsan isang yakap lang, panalo ka na eh,” she said. (Sometimes I feel that when one feels alone… sometimes one hug can already make you feel like a winner.)
Pressman is set to star in the upcoming romantic-comedy film “Ang Pambansang Third Wheel” opposite Sam Milby, hitting theaters Mar. 14. JB
