Singer Imelda Papin’s house robbed

MANILA, Philippines—Still unidentified suspects broke into the house of singer Imelda Papin in Quezon City before dawn Monday carting away around P500,000-worth of valuables and $6,000 dollars-worth of cash, authorities said.

According to a Quezon City Police District cop who requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media, thieves broke into Papin’s house in North Fairview Park, Quezon City around 2:45 a.m. allegedly through the house’s window from the second floor.

According to police, initial investigations show that the whole family was sleeping when the suspects were stealing money, jewelry, gadgets, and bags.

Police are still looking into how the thieves were able to escape without awakening anyone, the officer said, adding that further investigation were being conducted to locate suspects.
