Actor James Marsden flew thousands of miles to visit Manila and traded his cowboy hat for a sleek suit for a special appearance, sending his female fans screaming and swooning.

The Oklahoma native, who set TV screens on fire with his steamy portrayal of robot cowboy Teddy Flood in the HBO series “Westworld,” snuck into the country after taping for the show’s second season.

“This is amazing. Thank you all for being here. This is awesome,” James told the crowd at the Manila House Private Club, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, where he launched the “Love Scotch” campaign for Johnnie Walker to mark International Scotch Day on Feb. 8.

“I met so many kind and generous people. What I noticed the most, stepping off the plane, was how many warm smiles I met, and how kind and inviting they were,” he continued.

The actor said that being a brand ambassador served as a breather, because doing the series was taking up most of his time.

But, he said he did not regret passing up the opportunity to engage in other projects because he considered doing “Westworld” as time spent “in the greatest way.”
