Concepcion is a Spanish speaker and Cuneta aced the language in high school.

Caritativo said ShaGab’s social media interaction reflects the duo’s current genial status. “That’s all them.” Unfiltered. Unedited.

Even fellow celebrities Angel Locsin, Ai-Ai delas Alas, Ara Mina, Marian Rivera and Judy Ann Santos have expressed excitement over the tandem’s comeback on social media.

The ShaGab reunion will be the main topic in Noel Ferrer’s talk show, “Level Up: Showbiz Saturdate,” on Radyo Inquirer, onFeb. 10. “Due to insistent public demand,” said Ferrer.

The duo was considered the hottest love team in the 1980s—topbilling such hit movies as “Dear Heart,” “P.S. I Love You,” “My Only Love,” “Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin.”

They got married in 1984 at the Manila Cathedral (with no less than then-President Ferdinand Marcos in attendance as a principal sponsor). In 1985, they had a daughter, KC Concepcion, who eventually joined show biz as an adult.

The fairy-tale romance ended when the couple separated in 1987, but they continued making movies like “Bakit Ikaw Pa Rin,” “Una Kang Naging Akin” and “Tayong Dalawa” in the 1990s.”

Cuneta thanked their fans for helping the video garner over a million views in under four hours on Facebook.

Concepcion similarly expressed his gratitude to their followers. He told the Inquirer: “We are really excited to share this with everyone, especially our supporters who have been waiting for a comeback project for years.”

Cuneta described the commercial’s concept as “heartfelt and very honest”.
