What an honor and privilege it was for me to be handpicked by Regal Entertainment Inc. to conduct an exclusive one-on-one personal interview with the stunningly beautiful, radiant-looking, very classy, highly intelligent, and multi-talented Janella Salvador.

FEATURED STORIES

What a dream come true it was for me to finally be face-to-face with Janella Salvador… her luminous beauty radiated so strongly she was indeed a sight to behold, my knees turned weak. WOW!!! I told myself: “Why, how she appears on TV, movies, commercials and in print ads, do not do justice at all to how she really looks in person”.

Janella Salvador at the young age of 19 is the biggest and most important young artist of her generation in the local entertainment industry, and I first said that nearly 2 years ago. Literally, her future is as bright as it will ever be. With a string of box office hit movies to her name, and to think she has yet to hit her prime, her potentials are indeed limitless.

Janella Salvador is truly a princess PERSONIFIED in our local entertainment industry. And I firmly believe that–sooner than later–Janella Salvador will become an international star. And certainly, that is well within the realm of possibilities of happening.

Back to the present, we go. Janella Salvador’s latest movie My Fairy Tail Love Story by Regal Entertainment Inc. is scheduled for a nationwide release in all local cinemas onFebruary 14, 2018. I highly recommend this movie. I will give no spoilers here, though.

Here is my exclusive one-on-one personal interview with Janella Salvador:

  1. When My Fairy Tail Love Story was first proposed to you, what was your initial reaction?

Janella Salvador: I was excited about it. Of all people, Regal chose me to play the lead role of Chantel, the mermaid. It is a mermaid role. A dream role. And secondly, it is not just any mermaid role where the mermaid is normally bullied. I do not play a mermaid that gets bullied in this movie. And that different take of a mermaid was really fun to play.

  1. In this movie, you sing instead of speak, how challenging and difficult was that for you? Or would you say, it was more fun?

Janella Salvador: Everytime I become a mermaid napapakanta ako, hahaha… So, definitely, there is a lot of singing in the movie. It is funny, actually, minsan habang sinasabi ko yung mga lines ko, natatawa talaga kasi ako…. hahaha…. it is ridiculous. But it is really going to be funny.

  1. Other than the singing parts, what would you say makes this different from all the other movies you have done so far?

Janella Salvador: Definitely, it is my very first mermaid role. At first, I was nervous when I was told I had to learn some stuff. But in the end, I was able to do everything that was expected of me.

Actually, this film is really a lot, a lot of hard work. And not just from me, but from everybody. They really put in a lot of work into this to make this the best film as possible for everyone to watch and enjoy with their whole family.

This is a movie with a lot of dream and passion put into it.

  1. You are obviously a very pretty girl. With the rigorous schedule of filming, how do you manage to keep yourself looking fresh and radiant?

Janella Salvador: I guess it is really important to get some rest and to take care of your skin. And this is the most important, that before you sleep you should never forget to remove your makeup. Skincare is a must.

Take care of your body and be happy because it shows when you are truly happy.

Lastly, no vices.

  1. You have played a mermaid. But in real life, and in your dreams, what is it that you would also want to be in your fantasy?

Janella Salvador: Gusto ko lang talaga maging mermaid. I want to be Chantel talaga! If I could be a real mermaid in real life.

Why not, right!

  1. What are your own expectations for this movie?

Janella Salvador: It is My Fairy Tail Love Story. I still want people to believe in true love and that it still exists.

I want people to live with love in their hearts.

  1. You are still very young, what are your other dreams and aspirations in your professional life?

Janella Salvador: I have a lot of dreams and aspirations. And one of them is this… I want to take up Psychology. I want to learn about Psychology and I want to have my own makeup line one day.

  1. Would you consider this your biggest local project, thus far?

Janella Salvador: Well, Bloody Crayons, my other movie, before this was also a big project. I can’t say it is the biggest, but it is very different from everything I have done. It is something I hope more people would recognize and appreciate. It is something else. It is surely different. When you watch it you will know.

  1. Do you think this movie will take you to greater heights as an artist in terms of fame and riches?

Janella Salvador: I don’t really like expecting… I don’t expect a lot to happen for me. It’s more of really hoping and praying that it becomes successful and I really trust in the material because it is beautiful.
