If Ryzza Mae Dizon was asked to give a piece of advice to aspiring child actors, it would be to pray hard and always “hold on to their dreams.”

“Always pray to Papa Jesus because He will give it to you. It’s also important to say thank you for all the blessings you receive. And if they really want to become stars, they need to have diligence and passion for work,” said the 12-year-old celeb, who plays the grumpy and strict Boss Madam in the “Barangay Jokers” segment of “Eat Bulaga!”

It has been almost six years since she won the noontime variety show’s “Little Miss Philippines” pageant. Still, Ryzza continues to enjoy work and “live her dream.”

“When I get praised for doing a good job, it pushes me to be better. When someone says good comments about me, I get super happy,” said Ryzza, who previously hosted her eponymous talk show from 2013 to 2015. “And when I feel I can’t do a certain role, I just think of all those good words to inspire me to work again.”

One of the things Ryzza enjoys in being Boss Madam is playing dress-up. “It’s nice to be the boss. I enjoy playing this role because it’s something new for me,” said Ryzza, who gets to wear coats and oversized sunglasses as part of her role. “And even if she has a temper, she still has a good heart.”

“I have a stylist who picks my costumes. I get help from Tita Ruby (Rodriguez) and Tita Pia (Guanio) for some of the bags I use. I enjoy this role and it doesn’t feel like work,” said Ryzza, who hopes to star in more films, try new roles and work with different actors.
