WATCH: Wil Dasovich gets emotional on learning he’s cancer-free
After going through several rounds of chemotherapy, YouTube vlogger and former Pinoy Big Brother contestant Wil Dasovich was declared cancer-free.
In his new vlog entry posted on Friday, the YouTube star said he finally got the good news via a phone call. Upon hearing this, he and his family turned emotional and embraced each other.
He said that “failure was not an option,” and that his stage-three colon cancer diagnosis was just “another challenge he could document so I can inspire others who are going through a similar battle.”
Dasovich also chose to be more positive while on treatment as he continued to create content for his page and at the same time document his road to beat the disease.
When the moment of truth came for the vlogger, with the doctor announcing that his latest tests on his lymph nodes had negative results, he was moved to tears and hugged by his sister. Dasovich will still be under surveillance.
Ending his video on a lighter note, he said, “Don’t let challenge be the thing that brings you down, let it be the thing that lifts you up.”
The 25-year-old Dasovich had to go through nine rounds of chemotherapy and undergo surgery on his large intestine as part of his treatment. /ra
