Korina Sanchez’s new thin and tanned look has stunned and surprised many, especially as she was made the face of a celebrity cosmetics clinic.
The newscaster shared that apart from procedures that tightened and lifted her skin, she had been dieting and exercising with discipline.
“There are no shortcuts to getting fit,” she said in an earlier Instagram post.

Hello Pipol! This is an Instagram photo taken by makeup artist Robbie Pinera during our shoot for the Belo Thermage Billboard now along EDSA. Robbie instantly posted this and I thank him for sending me this copy. Labyu Rob! 💋 It's been a week since the billboard went up and I've a few notes to make since my very first billboard endorsement after more than 10 years: 1. Thank you Belo Group for trusting me enough to carry your reputable brand for beauty and wellness. Such hype and investment on me — and I only wish to do well by you throughout this campaign.💪 2. Thank you to so so many of you who reached out with a call, a message, a text or those who've approached me publicly to tell me how you liked the ad and appreciate the improvements in how I look or in how I have cared for myself. I so appreciate you back.❤️ 3. People ask me everywhere: What did you do? Well, it was a 3-step process. 1)I did Thermage which is deep heat on the skin that encourages tightening. 2)Then I did the short protein threads that lift parts of the face that need help. 3)And then the Belo Vita which is microneedling with hyaluronic acid to nourish the skin. But, I must say, way before this I had dieted and stayed disciplined about how and what I eat. I lost 15 lbs and I became physically active like I never was before. My husband and I took up an advanced deep sea diving course, we walked a LOT, we climbed mountains (literally). I do weights. I stayed under the sun a lot by choice because I like having color. You would know all of these about me if youve been following me on IG or FB. The improvements were a process and because I lost weight, my face was starting to tumble down👎🙀Belo saved me from the "fall", haha! And more! It improved my skin overall by FAR! Made my face much smaller. 👏👏👏 Why do I look so "different"? Well, kasi I got thinner, I got darker, I curled my hair which I never did before and Ive also never shown as much skin as I did so publicly in the board. Alam niyo na, a newscaster is always in corporate attire, balot na balot, haha! So, I guess you can say the change was ALL OVER. I think this is what makes the "change" dramatic
In an Instagram post, the 53-year-old said the “dramatic” transformation involved physical activities like deep sea diving, walking and hiking.
And for the tan: “I stayed under the sun a lot by choice because I like having color.”
“The improvements were a process,” she explained.
Her new look began turning heads even in 2017 when she graced the Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho wedding in France.

After the wedding na ang photos…there were no cameras inside the American Church for the heartfelt ceremonies. The vows were personal and touching. Doctor Ravi their Pastor was more than inspiring. Everyone married in the audience listened like we were renewing our vows. Beautiful. Vicki wore a pink Michael Cinco Swarovski studded wedding gown. While waiting for the bus to take us to the reception venue…here with Grace Lee…
In a September 2017 post, she said she abides by a ketogenic diet with the help of an app.
But while she was 15 pounds lighter, the weight loss had an effect on her face.
“My face was starting to tumble down,” she revealed. It was then that she turned to cosmetic procedures, giving her a fresh look despite decades on the screen.
She said part of the shock factor of the billboard ad was possibly also because she showed more skin than usual and that her hair was in curls. “Alam niyo na (as you know), a newscaster is always in corporate attire, balot na balot (all covered up), haha!” /ra
