Pia Wurtzbach is a self-confessed “chocoholic.” Unbelievable but true. As the brand ambassador of Filipinos’ fave homegrown chocolate brand, Goya, our Miss Universe says that even beauty queens deserve “cheat days” after a long and hectic day.
Here’s my chat with Pia:
If you were chocolate, what kind would you be? Dark. Because you think it’s bitter, but it also tastes sweet. I’m a bundle of surprises. And dark is the richest and healthiest variant. It’s so me. Rich in the sense that I am all-in since I don’t do things half-heartedly.
What’s your resolution for 2018? I will make better decisions and get more work done.
Do you feel pressured that you have to answer in beauty-queen fashion every time you are interviewed? I feel that, sometimes, but I don’t let it get to me. There’s more to me than being Miss Universe. Funny trivia I want to share is this: When I was training for the pageant, I wore heels even while doing household chores, so I would get the feel of it.
What’s your next project? Doing a movie with Gerald Anderson, with my boyfriend Marlon Stockinger’s approval (laughs).
(Winners of Goya’s “Get a Taste of World-Class Promo” will go on six-day, all-expense paid trips to Paris, San Francisco, New York and London. Check out GoyaChocoholics on Facebook.)
My BFF Cesar Montano is mounting his 3rd Buboy Golf Cup on Feb. 16 (6:30 a.m. and 12 noon) at Pradera Verde Golf and Country Club in Lubao, Pampanga. It’s for the benefit of Marawi victims and the Philippine Foundation for Breast Cancer (call 0927-8794541). Buboy is a golf enthusiast. His awards in golf almost match his numerous acting awards.
One of my fave Christmas gifts was from Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez, who sent me a sampler of their super yummy bottled delights: hot and spicy tuyo and smoked bangus (visit GreenRoom’s Facebook page for details). The Alcasids got the perfect recipe in and out of the kitchen, on and offstage.
