Hindi masakit para sa akin yun, dahil lumipas na ang mga taon na kinaawaan ko ang sarili ko dahil sa sinasabi ng iba.” (It doesn’t hurt me because the years when I pitied myself over what other people say have passed.)

The multi-talented actress and comedian said self-acceptance helped her become aware of her own beauty — and no one could take that away from her.

She declared, “Mahalin mo ang iyong sarili bago mo mahalin ang iba.” (Love yourself first before loving someone else.)

Bautista has also had her share of bashing when she shared pictures of herself on the beach. Still, she was unfazed, saying that her tummy is “proof that I have enjoyed all the food I wanted to eat, my tummy and heart are happy.”

The actress also dubbed herself “Dental Diva” because of her wide, toothy smile.

Bautista, 39, has much to smile about, with a regular role in the hit musical “Rak of Aegis” and movie projects in the previous year such as “The Ghost Bride” and “Seven Sundays”.

She also lent her powerful vocal chords to a song with Thai artist Marco Maurer, brother of superstar Mario Maurer. “Party Like a Freak” was released in December 2017. JB
