Actress Michelle Madrigal kept it real and flaunted what she got after giving birth to her first child.

The new mom took to Instagram on Sunday to share her thoughts about accepting her current figure.

“I am a work in progress… I don’t just mean physically. I am slowly learning how to love and enjoy my body weight now,” Madrigal wrote, as she posted a selfie while in a workout session.

Despite her declaration of self-love, she admitted that it took some time getting used to her body now. She said that it was not easy for her, since she has never weighed more than 115 pounds.

“I do have some flabby areas that need some lifting but I am definitely loving the size of my behind now (thanks to pregnancy),” the actress added.

Madrigal then said that women heal differently after pregnancy and they should not feel pressured to lose all the post-baby weight right away.

“But it doesn’t mean that we should be complacent of what we have just because we had a baby,” she encouraged followers. “Being a mother shouldn’t hinder us from taking care of ourselves.”

Ending on a light note, Madrigal wrote, “Snap back when you’re ready and make yourself proud.”

The actress-turned-vlogger gave birth to a baby girl named Anika in October last year. Anika is the first child for her and her American fiancé, Troy Woolfolk. JB
