Five songs from the official soundtrack of the screen musical “Ang Larawan” recently made it to Spotify’s Philippines Viral 50 chart.
As of Jan. 3, “Hindi Simple ang Buhay” by Robert Arevalo (who plays Don Perico) is at No. 1. Also in the Top 10 are “A Tisket, a Tasket” by Cris Villonco (Susan) and Aicelle Santos (Violet) and “Walang Ilaw” by Joanna Ampil (Candida Marasigan) and Rachel Alejandro (Paula Marasigan), which are at No. 3 and 8, respectively.
Further down the list are “Ako’ng Nagkamali” by Ampil at No. 17 and “Ang Piyanista” by Paulo Avelino (Tony Javier) at No. 21.
Spotify’s Viral 50 chart is based on streaming and user sharing on social media.
“Ang Larawan’s” soundtrack—performed by the cast and the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra, with Ryan Cayabyab as conductor—was released on the said music-streaming service a week before the 43rd Metro Manila Film Festival opened last Dec. 25. —ALLAN POLICARPIO
