The traditional third wedding anniversary gift would be leather. For Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, it’s a video of their favorite memories.
The video shows clips from their prenup shoot, their grand wedding and travels as a couple and with daughter Zia.
Underscored with solemn music, the 37-year-old actor narrated a love letter as a wedded couple.
“These have been the best three years of my life,” he said before taking a trip down memory lane.
“This story began with a boy who hailed from manila and this pretty girl born in Madrid. she grew up praying to meet the man of her dreams. He grew up dreaming to meet the woman in his prayers.
“One day, a decade ago the universe conspired to make them meet and together they decided to make the story complete.”
In 2007, the two played lead roles in “MariMar,” which catapulted them to fame. Despite the chemistry between them, they had significant others and didn’t act on their feelings immediately.
DongYan would publicly announce their relationship in 2010.
“Please allow me to thank you dear. Dahil sa lahat ng gusto kong gawin sa buhay, natupad, at natutupad ko dahil sa ‘yo (Because I was able and am able to get everything I wanted and want to achieve in life because of you).”
“And this is because you inspired me to be the best Jose Sixto that I could be. You are the perfect element that I need to lead this family.”
Of course, their story would not be complete without baby Zia. “You showed me what it was like to create a miracle. And with that miracle, we created this beautiful being. We must have done something good to deserve this little princess.”
He professed, “I once vowed that I cannot promise the whole world to you, I will give you my love, my loyalty, my passion, my service, my honor.”
“I am so excited to see what’s in store for us. the best part is, we have the rest of our lives to figure it out.”
“Happy anniversary. Lumundag pa tayo, beybeh (Let’s keep jumping, baby),” he concluded.
Dantes has shown an interest in creating videos featuring his family. In August, he summed up a family vacation with a stunning video.

In response to the emotional video, Rivera shared a picture from their wedding day and quipped, “May forever… maniwala ka (There’s forever… believe it)!”
In August 2012, Dantes proposed to Rivera in Macau in the presence of family. They kept this a secret until Dantes proposed a second time in 2014 during her birthday celebration on air.
They wed on Dec. 30, 2014, in a star-studded celebration that was touted as a “royal wedding.” /ra
