Actor-politician Alex Castro proposed to Sunshine Garcia in front of loved ones — and she said “yes.”
A video shows Garcia caught off-guard as Castro gave a speech in front of their family and friends. Garcia was brought to tears by the surprise.
In an Instagram post, she wrote, “Yung inakala ko na lagi na lang ako magiging audience kada may mag propropose at ikakasal.” (I thought I would always just be part of the audience during proposals and weddings.)
“Yung malapit ko ng tanggapin sa sarili ko na baka hindi para sa akin ang ganitong klaseng love story.. Hanggang sa dumating ka at binago mo yun.” (I almost accepted that this type of love story wasn’t for me… until you came and changed it.)
She shared that Castro was so nervous that he put the ring on the wrong finger.
“Ito na ang isa sa pinakamagandang blessing na natanggap ko this year,” she said. (This is one of the most beautiful blessings I received this year.)
The couple has been dating since 2015.
