The tragic demise of Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington last July continues to haunt the entire music industry.

Almost five months after the harrowing incident, details of the coroner’s official autopsy were made public in a report from TMZ.

Contrary to speculations that the 41-year-old rock icon was under the influence of drugs at the time he took his life, a toxicology report revealed that Bennington only had alcohol in his system.

As described by the police officer at the scene through a redacted PDF file, among the items found in the singer’s room were a prescription for generic sedative Ambien with one pill broken in half, a glass of Corona beer less than half full and an empty bottle of Stella Artois pilsner.

Police also discovered a journal with a biography that was handwritten, but found no suicide note at the scene.

“Autopsy findings are characteristic of suicidal hanging. There was a history of suicidal ideation,” the coroner’s note read.

Chester’s widow, Talinda Bennington, meanwhile, recently took to Twitter to express her disgust toward the tabloid outlet TMZ and the coroner for “sensationalizing” her husband’s previous suicide attempt in 2016.

“Fun fact- When your husband dies by suicide, the LA County Coroner’s office will PARAPHRASE your private conversation with them to dramatize and sensationalize the story and then SCUMBAG FILTH like TMZ  post it for the world to feast on. It was redacted to protect all the kids!!,” she wrote in a now pinned tweet.

In a separate report, TMZ revealed that Bennington got drunk, tied himself up and jumped in his swimming pool back in November 2016.

He reportedly changed his mind at the last minute, freed himself and emerged from the pool.

Talinda claims that she asked the sensitive information to be redacted from the report, and was only given to detectives to help with the case.

The grieving wife also shared that she had to pull her 11-year-old out of school to escape possible nasty comments from classmates.

“And now I get to go pull my 11 yr old out of school- because all the kids can use their phones at lunch-to be the first to tell him what REALLY happened in Nov. Thanks again to SCUMBAG reporting. F**K YOU TMZ,” she added. /ra
