Jericho Rosales enjoys a life of adventure, regularly going on long-distance motorbike trips and catching waves around the country.
While the hunky actor appreciates his natural surroundings, as evidenced by his social media posts, he raised alarm during one of his surfing trips to Siargao.

In a picture of him standing on a wooden bridge while holding a plastic bag, he wrote, “Picked up a ‘souvenir’ from Cloud 9 in Siargao after a great morning surf session. My stoke was replaced with concern. Well, more like distress.”
“These plastic bags and water bottles hurt our seas, animals and affect the food that we eat,” he stressed.
“Don’t throw things in the ocean,” he appealed. “If you see someone doing it say something… Pay respect to nature.”
Rosales has a right to be disturbed: the Philippines has been named as one of the world’s top polluters of the ocean due to plastic waste.

The “Just My Luck” actor has been advocating against ocean pollution through his social media posts.
In June, he discussed ocean acidification. “It’s caused by too much carbon dioxide released in the air from human activities such as burning fossil fuels and burning forests,” he said.

Fittingly, his upcoming movie is set in the country’s surfing capital. “Siargao” is directed by Paul Soriano and co-stars Erich Gonzales and Jasmine Curtis-Smith. The film is part of the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival. JB
