Kapamilya actress Anne Curtis spoke her thoughts on the sensitive topic of sex education.

In a recent Twitter post, the actress explained why she agrees to it and that she herself has had sex education back when she was still in school. She also hopes that the authorities in the country be open-minded enough to consider sex education as a solution to the pressing problems brought about by irresponsible sex.

“When I was in primary school we had sexual education which educated us on how to make healthy decisions for when we grow older–which could help avoid instances of teenage pregnancies. I hope that 1day the Department of Education here in the Philippines would be open to it,” she wrote.

Curtis has just been married to her long-time boyfriend, food blogger Erwan Heussaff. Their lavish countryside wedding was held in New Zealand together with their closest friends and family.

Last week, the couple officially faced the public for the first time as newlyweds on Kapamilya noontime program “It’s Showtime” where Curtis is a main host. They were welcomed by the entire gang who serenaded them with Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud,” and “Perfect.”

“It is with so much pride and love, I’d like to introduce to the madlang people, my husband Mr. Erwan Heussaff,” she said. /jpv
