The sequel to the 2015 sci-fi action film “Jurassic World” won’t be out until June 22 next year, but director Colin Trevorrow is keeping fans engaged with a brief teaser for the upcoming film.
In a 6-second clip uploaded on Trevorrow’s official Twitter page, the film’s protagonist, Owen Grady (played by Chris Pratt), can be seem interacting alongside what appears to be an adorable baby velociraptor.
“From our Jurassic family to yours,” the director captioned the post, which has since been retweeted over 12,000 times.
The brief teaser didn’t offer much plot for the sequel, which is expected to pick up right after the disastrous events of the first film, which totally destroyed the park.
Taking over the directorial duties for Trevorrow is J.A. Bayona, who is also expected to helm a possible third film of the rebooted franchise.
As of writing, a release date of a full trailer for “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” has yet to be announced.
Apart from Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard will also reprise her role as Claire Dearing, while Jeff Goldblum, Ted Levine, Rafe Spall, Toby Jones, Geraldine Chaplin, Daniella Pineda and Justice Smith will join the cast. /ra
