Painful lesson

CHIU. Teams up with Vilma Santos.

Christine Almagro, media consultant, suggests: “Now that Vilma Santos and Kim Chiu are doing a movie together, how about Nora Aunor and Sarah Geronimo playing mother and daughter? Younger moviegoers will especially benefit from these collaborations. If both movies become blockbusters, a Nora-Vilma ‘reunion’ movie shouldn’t be far behind!”

Other notes:

Ricky Aguas, student: “I’d like to commend our TV networks for the round-the-clock updates on the aftermath of Typhoon ‘Sendong’ in Northern Mindanao and some parts of the Visayas. Some news people even walked the extra mile by going to the affected areas to provide first-hand information about this latest calamity. It’s sad that only during tragic situations like this do we realize how negligent we’ve become of our environment – a very painful and costly lesson learned, indeed!”

Exchanges

PUNO. Warm vibe.

Marisse Librando, televiewer: “TV5’s ‘Sapul sa Singko’ has a warm vibe going for it with the way Amy Perez and Chiqui Roa-Puno host the morning show.

They’re exciting to watch, going about their exchanges in an animated and spirited manner. My only quibble is the lady in charge of the entertainment segment. Why does she pronounce dahil as dahel and damit as damet? Lastly, the network’s in-house makata is pushing his spiels too much, and tries too hard to be funny. Masyado pang maaga para sa mga ‘jokes’ niya!”
