ONGLAO. The world is her apple!

Pilgrims and globetrotters are gearing up for an exciting 2012, a memorable year of travel and cultural immersion to Journeys of Faith’s unique destinations, as personally experienced and shared by veteran pilgrimage and tour maven, Arlina Onglao.

The excitement starts in February, with journeys to the Land of the Bible – Amman and Petra in Jordan, and Jericho, Nazareth, Cana, Caesaria Philippi, Tiberias, Mt. Tabor, Haifa, Jaffa, Ein Karem, Bethlehem and Jerusalem in Israel – plus Sinai and Cairo in Egypt. Pilgrims will be traveling with no less than Archbishop Orlando Quevedo.

For a truly exotic change of pace, Journeys of Faith also goes on an Incredible India adventure on February 12-20 – and then flies off to New Zealand, one of the most dramatically beautiful places on the planet, on February 21. Arlina’s “tour and pilgrimage company that could” is definitely going places!

From April 8 to 16, Journeys’ Exotic and Sultry Egypt tour includes a Nile Cruise to Luxor, Aswan and Abou Simbel.

And, on April 30, the Alluring Andalucia tour group savors the cultural, scenic and religious flavors of Madrid, Toledo, Seville, Cordoba and Granada.

Why do Journeys of Faith’s pilgrims favor the “faith and fun” group from year to year? A big factor in their view is Arlina’s personal way of introducing them to new destinations.

With Tintin and Julius Babao.

They also cite the daily Masses of Journeys’ pilgrimages, the good hotels and meals, tours suitable for seniors, and a schedule that’s a night longer than competitive programs.

Icing on the cake

The icing on the cake is the occasional opportunity to travel with well-known and admired personalities like Julius and Tintin Babao, Boots Anson-Roa and her daughter, Chiqui, Cheche Lazaro and her “Probe Team,” Jeanne Young, Bibsy Carballo, Ryan Agoncillo etc.!

What about Arlina, what keeps her going – and loving it? Candidly, she exclaims, “Even after more than 50 trips, the Holy Land still excites me! Pilgrims often say that being there is like seeing the Bible come alive – with you in the center of the action! In particular, Jerusalem and Bethlehem never fail to move me!”

As for the rest of the exciting adventures that Journeys of Faith has to offer this year, she smiles and beckons, “Welcome to my world – Arlina!”
