Wyn Marquez proud of Mariel de Leon’s Miss International bid

Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 Teresita Ssen “Winwyn” Marquez congratulated Miss Philippines-International Maria Angelica “Mariel” De Leon in her bid to win the crown.

In a recent Twitter post, Marquez honored De Leon.

“You gave it your best Mariel! We’re proud of you.. i know you enjoyed and learned so much in Japan  Congrats padin my dear,” Marquez wrote.

Marquez recently represented the country at the Reina Hispanoamericana pageant in Bolivia and eventually won. De Leon, on the other hand, failed to make a top 15 finish in the Miss International pageant held in Japan.

De Leon however said that her Miss International journey was all worth it. She holds no regrets and is in fact grateful for having represented the country in the global stage.

Both beauty queens are daughters of well-known actors in the country. De Leon is the daughter of actors Sandy Andolong and Christopher De Leon, while Marquez is the daughter of Alma Moreno and Joey Marquez. JB
