Reputation,” the much-awaited sixth studio album of pop star Taylor Swift, was finally released last Nov. 10.
However, not a few people were dismayed to find out that the record wasn’t immediately made available on streaming services.
According to a report by Bloomberg, Swifties may have to wait at least one more week before they see “Reputation” on Spotify or other similar apps.
“The services are still negotiating with Swift’s team to determine when ‘Reputation’ will be made available,” Bloomberg’s sources said, adding that Taylor may, however, “change her mind.”
Taylor, who has been one of the staunchest critics of streaming services’ business practices, pulled out her catalogue from Spotify in 2014, and returned it only this year.
But for those itching to hear Taylor’s new music, “Reputation” is available on iTunes. Or, they can do it the old way: Go to a record store and buy a physical copy.—ALLAN POLICARPIO
