After the landslide success at the box office of Stephen King’s “It” adaptation, a sequel was practically a given.

Since then, fans and the teen cast have been nominating their favorite actors as the grown-up Losers Club in “It 2.”

One name that keeps cropping up is Jessica Chastain as redhead Beverly Marsh; 15-year-old Sophia Lillis has also made her personal vote for the award-winning actress.

In an interview with Screen Rant, Chastain expressed interest in joining the film.

When asked if she and “Molly’s Game” co-star would be willing to play Beverly and Mike Hanlon, Chastain said, “Alright.”

“Well, I love [brother and sister] Andy [Muschietti] and Barbara [Muschietti]. I worked with them on Andy’s directorial debut, you know, his film, ‘Mama.’”

“And you know, Barbara is one of my best friends so…of course, I want to work… they’re my friends. They’re like my family. Anything that they’re doing I want to be a part of, so I hope we can make it happen,” she said.

Idris Elba, who hasn’t seen the movie, was convinced after Chastain’s testimonial. He chimed in, “Get me in!”

The sequel picks up 27 years later as the adults take on the Derry town monster. The film is set to be released on Sept. 6, 2019.  Niña V. Guno /ra
