Actress-singer-TV host Jolina Magdangal is on her way to having her second baby.
She shared the news via her daily morning program “Magandang Buhay” on Tuesday, together with her husband Mark Escueta and son Pele.
The announcement of her new pregnancy was made in time for her 39th birthday last Nov. 6.
A video of her family’s guesting about the same time last year was shown. In last year’s clip, Escueta told his wife that he hopes she’s ready for his gift for her which he named “KNP.” Just as Magdangal asked what it meant, he told her, “Kapatid ni Pele.”
So this year, as he announced his gift for his wife, he called his “best friend” Pele to come over and help him.
Escueta asked his son, “Pele, Pele, what’s our birthday gift for mama?” The kid answered, “I’m Kuya Pele,” which greatly delighted the audience.
Magdangal’s happiness was obvious as she told the viewers about her new baby.
“Yes, 9 weeks na po ako at kuya na po si Pele. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, talaga,” she said.
“Sobrang pinag-pray po namin ito at saka sobrang saya ko para kay Pele, hindi lang para sa aming mag-asawa kung hindi para kay Pele. Two months na po mga kaibigan, thank you so much,” Magdangal added.
(We prayed hard for this. I’m so happy for Pele, not only for my husband but also for my son. It’s two months now, my friends, thank you so much.)
A short video of the family’s guesting was posted on the “Magandang Buhay” Instagram page.
It was in 2014 when the couple had their first child. Now that he’s about to become a “kuya” (older brother), little Pele is hoping for a baby sister. JB
