The teaser for the third and final film of the “Fifty Shades” franchise is here, and it may be the kinkiest one yet.
Based on E.L. James’ titillating novel series of the same name, “Fifty Shades Freed” opens in unfamiliar territory, as passionate lovers-turned husband and wife Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) settle into wedded bliss.
What follows is a seemingly unending honeymoon phase, where the couple engage in romantic endeavors, a jet setting lifestyle and, of course, passionate sex.
However, trouble in paradise starts to brew as a promiscuous architect brazenly flirts with Christian inside the couple’s massive new home.
“Please stop speaking to my husband as if I weren’t here,” Anastasia calmly asserts her dominance.
Things take a turn for the worse from there, as Anastasia’s obsessive former boss, Jack Hyde, (Eric Johnson) returns to be the thorn in the side of the lovers.
The once purely romantic and slightly perverse film evolves into an action-packed sequence as the scene shifts to knives, wild car chases and gunfires.
The trailer also generously offers several glimpses of the film’s trademark BDSM sex scenes inside Christian’s “pleasure room.”
Directed by James Foley, “Fifty Shades Freed” follows the massive global success of the first two films “Fifty Shades of Grey” and “Fifty Shades Darker,” which grossed a combined $950 million worldwide, according to Variety.
The film opens a few days ahead of Valentine’s Day, on February 9, 2018. /ra
