It’s a dream come true for Sam Smith as he jammed with girl group Fifth Harmony on “The Late Late Show’s” hit “Carpool Karaoke” segment.
Host James Corden first felt that something was missing in their drive as they started singing and grooving to “Work from Home.” Here on, Corden called in Fifth Harmony members Lauren Jarlegui, Dinah Jane, Normani Kordei and Ally Brooke to join in their fun.
Smith was visibly surprised and ecstatic when the girl group entered the vehicle.
When Corden asked about Smith’s love for the group, he replied that he felt “the woman in me is on fire,” adding that he would like “Work from Home” to play as he walks down the aisle.
“I want a funeral for my single self before my wedding. I’m in a coffin, and all these Powerpoint presentations about my single life. And then I raise from the coffin, and everyone takes off their black clothes and they’re wearing white,” Smith joked.
Apart from their collaboration with the group, Smith and Corden also jammed to hits such as “Too Good at Goodbyes” and “Stay With Me.”
Smith released his second album “The Thrill of It All” today. /ra
