Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu checked another item in her bucket list, as she just fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a news anchor.

For the first time in her life, Chiu experienced delivering showbiz news on the ABS-CBN news program, “TV Patrol”, on Tuesday. Her stint at the country’s longest-running TV news program is currently trending.

In a recent post on Instagram, Chiu uploaded a video that contained clips of her newscast as a Star Patroller, including some behind-the-scenes moments.

After her taping, she was seen being praised by the staff of the news program. She also congratulated herself for a job well done.

The first part of the video appeared to be recorded with a mobile phone during the show’s live airing. This was later stitched with her behind-the-scenes clips.

Among the reasons for her visit to the news program was to promote her latest movie, “The Ghost Bride”.

In another post, the actress revealed that it has been her long-time dream to be a news anchor and to report the latest happenings in the world of showbiz. Even though she’s been an actress for over a decade, being a news reporter for just a moment still feels so much different for her.

She also felt overwhelmed about standing next to the country’s best news anchors. One photo she shared showed the actress with veteran newscaster Noli De Castro, in split-screen, as they delivered the news. JB
