Ynna Asistio still bugged by irate fans

YNNA Asistio is Mark Herras’ current GF

Young actress Ynna Asistio, current girlfriend of actor Mark Herras, says she still hears snide comments from die-hard supporters of Mark and former flame Jennylyn Mercado—though the two broke up over five years ago.

“I don’t know why their fans behave that way,” Ynna tells the Inquirer Entertainment.

But she admits that among Mark’s former girlfriends, she feels most jealous and insecure about Jennylyn. “I won’t lie about that,” Ynna stresses. “I guess it’s because I was also a supporter of their on-screen partnership. I followed their love story. I know what they went through as a couple.”

Ynna adds, “In all fairness to Mark, he makes sure I feel loved and secure. He tells me everything. He asks for my consent even if he’ll just be recording a birthday greeting for Jennylyn.”

Does she get jealous, too, when Mark kisses another girl on TV? “Although it makes me feel uncomfortable … most of the time, he tells me not to watch the program, or else we watch it together.”

On GMA 7’s new afternoon drama series “Sisid,” Ynna, as Gina, plays the romantic interest of Mark Acueza’s character, Samuel.

“Direk Ricky (Davao) told me to prepare for a kissing scene with Samuel,” says Ynna. “I don’t know when that will be shot. I feel nervous whenever I think about it, but I’ve met Mark (Acueza). He seems to be a nice guy. Mark (Herras) is the jealous type, too. He told me, ‘May ibang Mark na sa buhay mo.’ But as an actor, he knows how to separate work from personal life.”

Ynna says the worst fight they’ve had happened a few years ago and lasted for two weeks. She recounts, “It was about his addiction to the online game DotA (Defense of the Ancient). He forgets about me when he’s playing. That time, we were supposed to meet at 7 p.m. but he arrived at 11 p.m. I cried and told him I had had enough.”

Mark was so hooked on the game, says Ynna, that he was always late even for other appointments. But these days, she says, he plays DotA “only when he’s with his cousins.”

“Sisid” aired its pilot episode on May 30 on the Dramarama sa Hapon time-block.
