Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) have arrested actor Cogie Domingo in a buy-bust operation in Parañaque City Friday morning.
Authorities from the PDEA-Region IV-A Intelligence Section and Laguna Provincial Office seized Domingo and two others identified as Almira Bautista and Francisco Lim in BF Homes, Parañaque City, according to a report of PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino sent to INQUIRER.net.
Agents confiscated a sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) from Domingo, as well as assorted drug paraphernalia inside a black hard plastic case.
Two sachets of suspected illegal substance were seized from Bautista and Lim.
Authorities also seized the group’s vehicles – Domingo’s white Lexus CT and Lim’s Toyota Fortuner.
According to the report, agents have put Domingo under surveillance for some time to “validate” and “investigate” the actor’s drug activity.
“It was revealed that Cogie Domingo frequents the area of Las Piñas City and Parañaque City to buy drugs,” it added.
Domingo and his group were immediately detained at PDEA RO 4-A at Camp Vicente Lim.
Domingo, 32, was known for his role in the teen series “Click,” a weekly afternoon show on GMA Network in the ’90s. /jpv/ac
