Director Cathy Garcia Molina just made fans of the love team of Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano, known as LizQuen, gush and look forward to her word to become a reality.
The filmmaker, who rose to fame by directing box office hits such as “A Very Special Love” and “Four Sisters and A Wedding” envisions the LizQuen couple to portray something similar to the characters of one of her famous works.
During a question-and-answer spree on Twitter, a LizQuen fan asked what project does Molina plan for the two. When she replied “mala-‘One More Chance'”, people went into a frenzy and retweeted her answer.
But Molina also disclosed that her planned project with Gil and Soberano may be another series, as she is set to retire in two years and migrate to New Zealand. She worked with the love team in the TV series “Forevermore” and “Dolce Amore”, as well as in the movie “My Ex and Whys”.
She also described what it is like working with LizQuen. Even Gil got praised for having one of the most expressive eyes, with Molina answering the compliment by saying “[O]ne of the. [M]ay John Lloyd kasi” (There’s John Lloyd), referring to one of her frequent collaborators, actor John Lloyd Cruz. Cruz starred opposite Bea Alonzo in “One More Chance”, which sent them to superstar status.
Molina’s latest movie, “Seven Sundays”, starring Gil, Dingdong Dantes and Aga Muhlach, has been a commercial success, already earning P153 million. The family movie tells the story of a sickly father begging for his children to spend his last seven Sundays with him. JB
